Meet the Doula
Some journeys choose us long before we realize we are walking them.
My name is Amber Christina Sinclair. I was born in Dallas, Texas, in 1976, and today I make my home in the quiet town of Mexia, Texas. From here, I serve individuals and their circles of care throughout a 100-mile radius, sometimes traveling farther, for those who need my support.
I am a mother, a grandmother, and a devoted dog and cat mom. Home, family, compassion, and connection have always been at the center of my life. For many years, I worked in human services with the State of Texas, helping people navigate complex systems and difficult circumstances. It was meaningful work, but life was gently preparing me for something even more personal.
Over the years, I found myself caring for several loved ones as they approached the end of life. I became their caregiver, advocate, companion, organizer, and steady presence. I witnessed the beauty that can exist even in life's final chapter when no one has to walk it alone.
Those experiences changed me forever.
They taught me that sometimes the greatest gift we can offer another person is simply our presence; someone who is willing to sit in silence, listen without judgment, honor their wishes, and help carry the weight that illness and loss can place upon a circle of care. That calling eventually led me to become an end-of-life doula.
Through Sinclair Sacred Care, it is my privilege to walk beside people with compassion, curiosity, gentleness, and respect. I believe every life has inherent worth. Every story deserves to be heard. Every person deserves to be cared for in a way that honors who they are, the life they have lived, and the legacy they wish to leave behind.
If our paths have crossed, I hope you know this:
You do not have to navigate this journey alone.
It would be a profound honor to walk beside you.
